Is a german band founded in the early 70s....1971 exactly by Udo Dirkschneider in the city of Solingen(GER).
Actually they remained at the amateur level for many years, just in 1979 they released the first album called Accept.
In a line-up with artists like Wolf Hofmann or Peter Baltes they became famous over night in 1980 with the hit I'm A Rebel.
The guys continued their ascendence on the scene of heavy metal music touring with several huge bands like Black Sabbath , Kiss , Iron Maiden or Judas Priest all over the world.But they had the greatest succes in Japan.
In 1989 Udo decided to leave the band and he was replaced by a kind of a glam metal vocal dude called David Reece....not ba atall.They had some really great songs on the Eat The Heat album.
He came back a little later and released some new albums with Accept just before the band broke up.
Starting as a garage band, with their true belive and metal power they created a new wave of agressive heavy metal that influenced a lot speed and power metal....and what i belive the greatest German band of them all.
If you wanna know some songs try somethin' like : I'm A Rebel, Midnight Mover, Balls To The Wall, Metal Heart, Generation Clash, Protectors Of Terror...and so on
